Today I am going to show you how to reset the ink absorbers for the Canon pro 300. 

Make sure you’ve got your computer hooked up to your printer. Paper in your printer. 

You are going to want to turn off the printer. 

Wait 15 seconds. 

Press and hold the power button until the light comes on.

While holding the on button, press the stop button 5 times 

and then release the on button. 

Your printer is now in Service mode. 

Now that you are in Service Mode, you can reset the ink absorber counter. 

To do this you need a reset Canon service tool, the V5610I got mine off Ebay (click here). 

Once you’ve paid for your service tool, I simply followed the instructions that the seller provider. 

The service tool is pretty simple once it is installed and ready to use. 

You will open it up and in the main tab you will reset the ink absorber and 'LOG SAVE'.

You know you’ve been successful because your printer will print a sheet stating the absorber has been reset.
