My subject matter is primarily nature, whether it is a traditional landscape or a wildlife painting. However, I do venture into still life if the subject captures my curiosity. Ultimately, my inspiration comes from capturing light and colour. I enjoy pairing both realism and a loose painting style while pushing the boundaries of colour saturation and contrast.
I use watercolour, ink and white gouache on paper, to capture light, colour, and life. For me, watercolour requires this magical balance of control and embracing the unpredictable. Much like life.
